Created to mark 01 January 2021, the official end date of the Brexit process, this set of photographic prints features images of the three Conservative Prime Ministers who held office over the course of the Brexit process. An extreme close-up from a scanned newspaper image of David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson are superimposed with an updated text version of The Brexit Lexicon (2016-2020). The Lexicon is a unique compendium of the most common terms that have shaped the discussions of Brexit in both politics and the media.
Alongside the prints, an artist zine – The Brexshit Times – was created to coincide with an exhibition of The Brexshit Machine (2020) at The Container, Tokyo, part of Complex States: Art in the Years of Brexit.
