This one-day course is ideal for photographers who already have an ongoing body of work but feel stuck, uncertain, or ready for a strategic push. Whether your goal is to make the transition into fine-art photography, prepare a project for exhibition, or develop a compelling edit for a book, Simon and Richard will help you refine your vision and build a credible path toward presentation.

Drawing on more than 40 years of combined experience across the gallery, publishing and professional photography worlds, Simon and Richard will offer guidance on creative direction, project development, editing, and how to position your work within today’s fine-art landscape.

Participants are encouraged to bring working prints or simple digital proofs for use in practical exercises, sequencing sessions, and group critique.

The day will include:

An opening seminar on the current fine-art photography landscape, including practical insights from both the artist and gallerist perspective.
Participant project reviews, with structured feedback from Simon, Richard, and the group.
Hands-on editing and sequencing exercises, helping you shape your project into a strong, coherent body of work.
Professional guidance on approaching galleries and publishers, understanding what they look for, and how to present your work with confidence.

You’ll leave with:

·A clearer, more refined edit of your project

·A stronger understanding of its direction and potential

·Actionable advice on taking your next steps toward exhibition, publication or portfolio growth.

If you’re looking to revitalise a long-term project, break through a creative block, shift from commercial to fine art practice or push your work toward professional presentation, this intensive workshop offers rare access to two industry veterans with deep expertise.
