Photo Élysée Acquisition
A print from my series Sight Sacralisation: (Re)framing Switzerland has been accepted into the collection of the Photo Élysée museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, with the kind support of Galerie Heinzer Reszler.
‘Glacier 3000, Les Diablerets, 2016’
Chromogenic print, 114 x 152 cm
Edition #1/5
The photograph was made as part of the group exhibition Unfamiliar Familiarities, which had previously been exhibited at the Museum in 2017.
Photo Elysée is one of the most important museums entirely dedicated to the photographic medium. The museum’s collection of more than 1,200,000 phototypes covers the entire field of photography, from the first processes dating from the 1840s to the digital image. It includes many complete photographic collections or archives, including those of Sabine Weiss, Jan Groover, René Burri, Ella Maillart, Nicolas Bouvier, Charlie Chaplin, Gertrude Fehr, Hans Steiner and Olivier Föllmi.
